About Rohmer
Rohmer is a fully restored 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon with a 2.0L TDI engine and extensive mechanical and cosmetic upgrades.
Originally sourced from Colorado, Rohmer was shipped to Boxeer Automotive for an engine swap and received a TDI conversion from Grégoire Blachon. After the initial work left the van in poor condition, it was sent to Vango Automotive in Saint Paul, MN. There, it was stripped down to a bare shell, corrected, and prepped for restoration.
The van was then sent to Raymond Auto Body, where it received a complete body and paint restoration. Once back at Vango, the interior was fully rebuilt.
Additional upgrades include:
-
Rancho transaxle rebuild
-
Oversized wheels, brakes, and axles
-
Fox shock kit
-
Modern heat and air conditioning system ([Small Car A/C])
-
Custom $15,000 audio system by Mach 1
Rohmer is now fully roadworthy, mechanically sound, and ready for adventure.
